Bombay Black along with RSJ magazine put out a performance @ 3Flights Up to showcase and launch the 1st CD. Friends and musicians -  producers and posers and the media refresh to Bombay Black Music. Music of Bombay city . As a  promo tour of Delhi playing gigs @ clubs and record stores, and the simultaneous release of the first album. Rumors and gossip follow. The press bites in.

February 2000

The LEVIS Indian rock festival . Organized by rock street journal, 9 bands from all over the country .

Bombay Black perform to an audience of 10,000 . Shocking music for the crowd and other bands. The word is out ..

A barrage of jungle to break beat fusion and ambient noise and groove. LEVIS India and RSJ sponsor Bombay Black to perform at Los Angeles the next summer for the Inland Invasion.

March 2001 Razzberry Rhinoceros - Bombay Black teams up with Randolph (PENTAGRAM) and creates a unique mix of funk and electro musicality. A new direction for new music .

July 2001

August 2001 Bombay Black in Los Angeles  Alongside Offspring, Incubus, Puddle of Mud, Social distortion. Bombay Black  carried a "different" repertoire of electronic rock funk breakbeat ambient music (phew!!) .

a complex and fragile arrangement of nine musicians wired and clued into running loops to cues and two guitars, two bass twin grooves units ,synthesizers and samplers and other electronic toys and screaming things . 42 inputs !!

Set en'route to Vegas, The Glen Helen Amphitheatre was rocked by 70,000 people to catch the two day rock festival titled INLAND INVASION. Performing amongst bigger acts and a whole bunch of newbies, Bombay Black came across mixed reactions from the thousands gathered at the concert. was it a culture shock for the audience? we think so !!

October 2001 Musicians and people like that, rap and hip hop posses and the eager 300 odd listeners gather for a Bombay Black gig at Jazz by the Bay. Tala Faral is heard setting a new vibe to this cluster of musicians. Jazz ? Substance ?
December 2001 Once again the spontaneity spills out @ jazz by the bay. Sounds from Underworld, Orbital, Saint Germaine and Daft Punk overlade with 5 Bombay Black boys slamming and slipping their reactions. Funk and down beat. The music is Loud !
January 2002 The scene is set for some hard stepping jungle and bizarre ambient soundscapes along side piano and guitar synthesizers.  Constructed soundscapes and Distorted grooves. Al (Blue Discourse) a Brooklyn boy, added to the madness with words and Rap. nu bizarre ..
February 2002

Featuring as many 15 musicians, with a tedious time schedule and tons of improvised material, Bombay Black is performing as a BIG BAND ! Sans electronic and synthetic motivation, Bombay Black is back to roots and rock . Featured alongside the regular line was Sooraj who contributed his voice in the 2nd album. Rap and manic energy generated by Bob, a Kenyan student. The press and gathered media seemed gaping ... at the music off course !

March 2002

2 years since, at PUNE. JazzGarden .Goin by the name ONE ,featuring Sooraj, Abhijit, JD, Sanjay and Lindsay, played a mix of original material and covers. The set comprised of songs written by Sooraj,Abhijit and Sanjay and a bunch of covers ranging from Dave Mathews, Depeche Mode and U2.

June 2002

BOMBAY BLACK and MANGO PUBLIC . Showcasing Hamza and T2 with their folk fusion set and covers of brittish playboy Robiie Williams rocked the audience gathered at venue. A swift turn to acid jazz and funk originals by Lindsay,  JD and Tyrone followed. slamming their way into a hard stepping jungle music. Loops and Noise mixed with dub basslines and break beats by Randolph and Anand (MANGO PUBLIC). The set just keeps getting more and more manic ! The wee hours of early morning saw a break down on stage as some posers and wannabes took the stage - Bombay Black and MANGO PUBLIC retired into the oblivion once again .
