BOMBAYBLACK : JAN2002

Bombay goes black again , this is the newest album from the same bunch of  musicians digging deeper... creating a new urban consciousness.

This time around there are more of us to create an even more diverse sonic-scape . Musicians from different backgrounds such as Floyd, Dhruv, Vibhas, Anand, Vicky etc.  have added their music along with the original composers who put together the first bombay black . a lot more time and insight has been spent compiling the music for the album. various sources and collaborations amongst as many as  25 musicians  helped shape the vibe and direction on the new album.

Performing at the KROQ-LEVIS Inland Invasion at Los Angeles, August 2001, Bombay Black rocked two consecutive gigs.  Featured alongside Incubus, Offspring, Aerosmith, Fuel, Puddle of Mud, Pennywise, Mike-d (beastie boys), Social Distortion : bombay black  carried a "different" repertoire of electronic rock funk breakbeat ambient music (phew!!) . Performing amongst bigger acts and a whole bunch of newbies, Bombay Black came across mixed reactions from the thousands gathered at the concert. was it a culture shock for the audience? we think so !!

bombay black  is currently performing around Bombay in aggressive bursts, involving musicians, and people and machines ... MADNESS !
